The year 2025 marked a turning point in the development of domestic manufacturing of components for unmanned aerial vehicles. During this year, a dedicated production facility was established and serial production of brushless electric motors in the 2809 size class was launched.
The introduction of the VSV 2809 represented the transition from an engineering concept to a fully industrial product adapted to real-world quadcopter operating conditions. The motor design incorporates key parameters such as stability, efficiency, and durability.
Engineering and development foundation
During the development of the VSV 2809, a comprehensive analysis of technical solutions from leading manufacturers, including Xing and T-MOTOR, was conducted. The design process followed modern industry standards and considered real operating loads.
The development process lasted nearly a year and included a full cycle of work: from electromagnetic calculations and mechanical design to prototype manufacturing and testing. Special attention was paid to ensuring consistent performance in mass production.
Initial launch and results
Initial testing confirmed compliance with calculated parameters. The VSV 2809 reliably reaches operating modes, demonstrates predictable behavior under varying loads, and maintains efficiency during extended operation.
Particular focus was placed on high-thrust operating conditions typical for real-world quadcopter use. Under these conditions, the motor demonstrated stable performance and controlled temperature behavior.
Comparative performance
According to test results, VSV 2809 motors demonstrate competitive or superior performance compared to well-known alternatives:
- Maximum thrust — up to 2508 g
- Power output — over 1100 W
- Efficiency — up to 2.63 g/W
This ensures an optimal balance between power consumption and thrust, directly affecting flight time and the overall efficiency of the UAV system.
Configuration flexibility
Production of the VSV 2809 allows for different KV configurations:
900 / 1050 / 1200 / 1350 / 1500 / 1700 / 1850 KV
This enables adaptation of the motor for various UAV types — from reconnaissance and long-range platforms to cargo and specialized applications.
Practical application
VSV 2809 electric motors are already used in real operating conditions. They undergo both bench and flight testing and demonstrate reliability in demanding tasks.
Today, these motors are used in UAV systems performing real-world missions that require stability, durability, and predictable performance.
